Tasting Notes: Discover Petite Rose’, a semi-dry rose’ wine with light aromatics, followed by flavors of tart cherry, watermelon, pomegranate, and lime, and a refreshing crisp finish. The beauty of this wine’s vibrant color is matched by its ability to pair with foods.
Pairing: Pairs with savory foods such as grilled cheese or mac and cheese, salty food such as olives, and also with lighter faire such as a fresh green salad or pasta salad with a vinaigrette dressing.
Grown in the glacier etched soils of Parallel 44’s vineyards, we offer this delicate rose’ wine that is sure to please your palate. Parallel 44 was amongst the first to plant the Petite Pearl grape in 2009 and became amongst the first winery in the world to release a wine made from the grape. Traditionally made into a dry, medium bodied red, every vintage of Petite Pearl has won prestigious awards. Steve, a maverick in the Wisconsin Wine industry, decided to try something new. He thought that with the growing interest in rose’ wines, he would offer wine drinkers another choice. Here, Petite Pearl grapes are vinted into a rose’ style, which means they were “pressed off” the skins immediately after picking. This is actually the second vintage of this popular rose’ wine that you may remember, formerly known as “Vivace.” Steve and Maria recommend this wine as the perfect start to an evening of tasty foods, delicious wines, and lively conversation.
