The inspiration for creating this Frosting Family of Wines is all about enjoying the simple pleasures in life. The rich, soothing sweetness of these wines is meant to create comfort and enjoyment for those who drink them. The name captures this feeling too, as we encourage people to start with the Frosting, since it is the best part of the cake!
Winemaker Steve, a maverick in the Wisconsin wine industry, is always working to perfect new wine making processes using the grapes we grow here in Wisconsin. In making the Frosting wines, he put the grapes through a cool, slow fermentation, crafting each to express ultra- aromatics that burst with the grapes’ fruit flavors. These wines are full bodied, smooth, and balanced, finishing clean and crisp.
The Frosting Wines are sweet and can take the place of dessert (although they are for everyday drinking); yet they have half the sugar of a standard dessert and offer many other benefits, including locally grown, gluten free, vegan, all-natural, plant-based, and no artificial sweeteners. We recommend serving all three wines chilled, although the red is also perfect at room temperature.
