After the success of Frozen Tundra Original, it seemed fitting to add a white and red wine to the family. Continuing the theme of celebrating our region, the Frozen Tundra, and the grapes that grow here, Frozen Tundra Red was first crafted in 2010, from the Frontenac grape. This wine was created in the style of a deep, medium-bodied, semi-sweet red, with a smooth finish. It quickly became one of  the winery’s top selling red wines.  Steve is proud that it received a Platinum medal in The Winemaker Challenges in San Diego, CA in 2019.  Of the 900 international wines entered in that competition, only 33 received Platinum medals and all those other wines had an average price point of $58 per bottle, versus the much more affordable Frozen Tundra Red. The 2019 vintage is crafted from the Frontenac and Marquette grapes.  Frozen Tundra Red offers complexity and balance, but without overbearing tannins. It is an easy to drink red wine that ages well.
